Soup of the Woodlands ‘tis a hearty, one-bowl recipe.  During thy diet journey, opting for a one-bowl dish wilt help keep thy appetite in reign.

If thy time ‘tis running short on the old sundial, opt for lentil soup.  Lentils cook quick, they be packed with nutrients & art very tasty. One-pot dishes be also easier than hatching an owl egg for clean up!

Ye Old Medieval Ingredients for Soup of the Woodlands, a Medieval Recipe

1 Pound of Dryed Lentils, Rinsed
1 Small Chopped White Onion
1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic
1 Stalk of Thy Celery Bunch, Chopped
1 Carrot, Sliced Very Thinly
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
5 Cups of Water
6 Beef Bullion Cubes
2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
1 Eight Ounce Can of Italian Chopped Tomatoes
½ Pound Lean Mini Sausage Links, Fully Cooked
 
Place olive oil in deep pot; drop in onion, celery, carrot, garlic & cook till clear.  Add water & lentils & cook for 20 minutes. Add bullion cubes, tomatoes, sausages & Worcestershire Sauce.  Cook 10 more minutes.  Soup of The Woodlands goes well with most any flatbread recipe.
