Tips, the Medieval Diet
Egg Yolks
Ye old yolk ‘tis extremely
high in cholesterol, containing more than two-thirds of thy recommended daily
limit of 300 mg! However, ye old yolk hath many health strengths necessary for
immunity, healthy skin, nerves & vision. Ye yolk contains good amounts of
B Vitamins, Vitamin A, iron & riboflavin.
Interesting Yolk: Many
tempera paints, which artists hath used for centuries, contain an egg yolk base.
Egg Whites
Ye old egg whites art
very low in calories, hath naught fat, naught cholesterol & art loaded with
protein. Ye old egg white ‘tis less likely than the yolk to harbor dangerous
salmonella, but due to health risks that raw eggs present, consumption ‘tis
highly discouraged by medical experts (a.k.a., ye old barbers). Many athletes
that play in tournaments drink raw egg concoctions & other than being unsafe,
it ‘tis not for the 'weak at stomach' villagers.
