Three Bean Soup - Low Fat, Low Calorie Medieval Diet Recipe

Serves 1 generously for about 275 calories

Three Bean Soup – the makings for a fairey tale.  Just eye the English chant that follows & thou wilt see that beans art good when they come in threes.

“One bean came home from the market, the second bean came too.
And bean three, coaxed them both into the boiling pot for you.”
Ye Old Ingredients
½ Pound of Pinto Beans (The Woolly)
½ Pound of Great Northern Beans (The Windy)
½ Pound of Kidney Beans (The Whistle)
2 Slices of Bacon, Raw (The Whole Hog)
Salt & Pepper to Thy Personal Taste
Water

Sort beans seeking rocks & dirt from thy neighbor’s field.  Next, rinse beans & place into a slow cooker.  Add salt, pepper & raw bacon.  Add enough Water to cover beans, plus 3 inches on top. Cook on high till tender.  Remove bacon before serving.

Enjoy with Peasant Corn Dodgers or Johnny Cakes.  For dessert, a lite pudding with a dollop of lite whipped topping wilt set off thy meal & leave thy belly full of merriment.  Remember to add additional calories for these goodies.
