The King's Table at The Medieval Diet - Tasty Medieval Recipes 

The King’s Chili -  - Low Fat, Low Calorie Medieval Diet Recipe

Serves 4 generously for about 300 calories

The King dined on a dish of this chili last week & his face ‘tis still lined with a smile.  The Court Jester may’st soon be jobless. Therefore, the Queen found need to issue a decree across the kingdom that The King’s Chili must only be served every other fortnite.

Ye Old Ingredients
½ Pound of Lean Chili Meat + 1 Tablespoon of Oil
1 Pod Garlic, Minced
Salt & Pepper to Thy Personal Taste
2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Cumin
1 Twelve Ounce Can of Tomato Sauce
½ Cup Water

Brown chili meat in pot using hot oil.  Drain; add garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt & pepper.  Add ½ cup water.  Heat, then add tomato sauce & heat again, till bubbling.

Serve with crackers, a wedge of REAL cheese, peppers, & bottled chili sauce.
