The King's Table at The Medieval Diet - Tasty Medieval Recipe

Viceroy Sandwich, a Medieval Recipe

Serves 1 generously for about 275 calories

Thy can’st make thine own sprouts by placing a few beans into a wet paper towel & leaving them overnight – thereby raising thy culinary skills to a new level.

Beans also sprout well in water or in rich potting soil.  Wash before eating.

Ye Old Ingredients
2 Large Slices of Whole Grain Bread (80 calories each)
No Calorie Butter Spray
1 Slice of REAL Cheese (70 calories per slice)
1 Teaspoon Fat Free Honey Mustard
1 Thin Slice of Honey Ham (35 calories per slice)
Small Handful Sprouts PLUS ½ Tomato Sliced Thinly
Salt & Pepper to Thy Personal Taste
Pickle or Green Olive

Spray bread with no calorie spray till well coated.  Place either inside thy toaster, or under broiler till top turns golden brown. Spread with honey mustard, add cheese, ham, sprouts & slices of tomato. Insert pickle slice or olive into Viceroy Sandwich with a pretty toothpick-the kind that hath cellophane wiggling at the top.

Delicious with 1 cup of chicken noodle soup.  Be certain to account for soup calories.
