Serves 6 generously for about 75 calories each

How can thy tell if yon cantaloupe ‘tis ripe?  Ignore the netting that surrounds the loupe & lend a watchful eye onto the end of loupe to where stem rests- the part where loupe was attached to yon vine.

It should’st be a hue of orange, not green which means the loupe ‘tis not yet ripe.  Next, cast a watchful eye onto thy bottom of loupe.  If it ‘tis greenish, wait a few morrows to eat, at least till it turns a light shade of orange.

Ye Old Medieval Food Ingredients

1 Nicely Sized, Ripened Cantaloupe
2 Cups of Assorted Fruit of Vine Such as:
Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, a Nectarine & Purple Grapes
2 Ripened Peaches
2-3 Packets of No Calorie Sweetener
Dash of Ground Ginger
Two Dashes of Ground Cinnamon
Lite Whipped Topping

Wash outside of cantaloupe to rid possibility of salmonella.  Cut thy loupe in half.  Scoop out orange meat with trusty ice cream scoop of both the halves.  Lay scooped melon balls on wax paper - which ‘tis resting on a flat tray.  Tuck into freezer for 4 hours or til frozen firm.  Remove.

Mix any of the following, till glass ‘tis overflowing with fruit of the vine: purple grapes, fresh blueberries, fresh blackberries, fresh peach slices, fresh strawberries, fresh nectarine slices, or fresh kiwi.

Take thou two ripened peaches; peel & mash with fork.  Place into microwave for about 30 seconds, till juice warms & flows. Remove.  Add a dash of ginger, a double dash of cinnamon & stir gently, as thy would’st a coddled egg.  Add 2-3 packets of no calorie sweetener.  A spoon of rich vanilla flavored coffee creamer may’st be added for an additional 40 calories for each serving & wilt lend juice a creamy flavor & color.

Place melon ball mixture in faire spirited glasses.  Drizzle rich glaze over mixture.  Serve with a dollop of lite whipped topping.
