Medieval Food - Medieval Diet - Sir Lancelot's Sipping Table

 Dieting Tips - Cocoa ©

There’s nothing quite like a piping chalice of cocoa on a wintry eve with the likes of a full yellow moon in site!  As mentioned earlier in The Medieval Diet - it ‘tis very important to take advantage of relaxing moments.

But back to thy pot of cocoa.  Thou can increase thy beverage enjoyment by testing several varieties of chocolate in thy cocoa.  Try replacing the powdered cocoa above by melting a square of any of the following:

- White Chocolate: For those villagers seeking a chocolate adventure!

- Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Sweet chocolate morsels to savor & live for!

- Bittersweet Chocolate: for those villagers who enjoy a little less sweetness.

- Dark Chocolate: Mysterious, deep, dark – but not woody!  Enjoy whilst on a mission for yon King.

- Swiss Mocha: For those villagers who seek a foreign flair.  Tip: Wear wooden shoes to compliment beverage.

- Milk Chocolate – Lighter in color than most chocolates.  It’s as smooth & velvety, as the village maiden’s Sunday gown.
